Which national chemical inventories list formaldehyde (CAS 50-00-0)? Check the EU (EC number), US TSCA, Canada DSL, Australia AICIS, Japan ENCS, Korea KECI, China IECSC and Turkey KKDIK, with citations for each.

Formaldehyde (CAS 50-00-0) is listed in all eight jurisdictions you named. For six of them the record is in the inventory itself. For Japan and Korea the number comes from a closely related official register rather than the ENCS or KECI file, and for Turkey the source is the 2011 national substance list, not a KKDIK list.

AustraliaAIIC (AICIS)CR 380. The listing carries "specific information requirements", so introducers must tell AICIS within 28 days of certain changes (for example changed use, higher volumes, start of manufacture in Australia, or new adverse-effect information) [4]

Points to note

  • Japan: The NITE dictionary also links CAS 50-00-0 to four other Gazette numbers (7-580, 7-320, 7-321, 7-322). These are formaldehyde derivatives such as polyoxymethylene glycol ethers, and each carries an error flag of 1 [9][10]. Only 2-482 is formaldehyde itself, with an error flag of 0.
  • Korea: I could not search the NIER KECI register directly. The KE number above is KOSHA's record. A web search snippet gave KE-05-1331 instead, but in KOSHA's data that number belongs to a different substance: the 1,3,5-trioxane / 1,3-dioxolane copolymer, CAS 24969-26-4 [11]. I disregarded it. Formaldehyde also appears in Korea's NICS hazardous-chemical first-aid register under CAS 50-00-0 [12].
  • Turkey: The 2011 list came before KKDIK. KKDIK pre-registration and registration records are not in the data I can search, so this entry shows the substance was in Turkish commerce, not that it has a KKDIK status.

Approach: I searched the ECHA REACH registered-substances list, the US EPA TSCA Inventory, Canada's DSL/NDSL, the Australian Inventory of Industrial Chemicals, NITE's CSCL existing-substance dictionary, China's IECSC, Turkey's national substance list, and KOSHA's and NICS's Korean records, plus an official-source web search for the Korean KE number. The Japanese ENCS and Korean KECI registers themselves are not in the data I can search.
