Use RegAffairs AI in Claude

Add RegAffairs AI as a connector and Claude can answer regulatory questions with citations to the source documents: REACH, CLP and SDS checks by CAS or EC number, food additives and labelling, cosmetics annexes, biocides, pesticides, exposure limits, EU GMP and ICH guidance, and drug and device registers.

Set up

  1. In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Name it RegAffairs AI and paste https://mcp.regaffairsai.com/mcp as the server URL.
  3. Choose Connect. Sign in with your RegAffairs AI account when asked, or create one on the same screen. It is free to try.
  4. Allow Claude to use your account. The connector then works in Claude on the web, desktop and mobile.

Claude Code

  1. Run: claude mcp add --transport http regaffairs https://mcp.regaffairsai.com/mcp
  2. In Claude Code, run /mcp and choose regaffairs to sign in. Your browser opens the RegAffairs AI sign-in page.

Try asking

  • Is bisphenol A (CAS 80-05-7) on the REACH SVHC Candidate List, and what does REACH Annex XVII restrict for it?
  • Give the harmonised CLP classification of formaldehyde: hazard statements, pictograms and signal word for my SDS.
  • Is titanium dioxide (E171) still authorised as a food additive in the EU? Cite the regulation that changed it.
  • Which EU GMP Annex 1 requirements apply to sterile products, and from what date did the revised Annex 1 apply?
  • Can salicylic acid go in an EU leave-on cosmetic? Give the Annex III limits and conditions for each product type.

Good to know

  • On Claude Team and Enterprise, an Owner may need to add the connector for the organisation first.
  • Each person signs in with their own RegAffairs AI account. Lookups are not counted as questions; a full research question (regaffairs_ask_question) counts as one question on your plan, the same as on the site.
