ESH regulatory intelligence software for EHS teams
RegAffairs AI is ESH regulatory intelligence software for EHS teams. Ask about exposure limits, reporting thresholds or permits and get a cited answer in seconds.

Exposure limits, release thresholds and permit conditions differ by country. Ask in plain language. Each value, threshold or article comes with a citation that opens the stored source document. The research trail stays on the answer page.
EHS regulatory intelligence for your daily questions
- EHS managers: What exposure limit applies at each of our sites?
- Industrial hygienists: Which limit is binding, and what short-term value goes with it?
- Environmental compliance leads: Does this substance change cross a reporting threshold?
- Permitting leads: What permits does this facility hold, with what conditions?
- Site compliance leads: What enforcement actions has this regulator taken this year?
- Sustainability teams: What has this facility reported to the national release inventory?
EHS consultancies can use the same workflow for repeat research across clients and countries.
Compare occupational exposure limits in one answer
Formaldehyde shows the value of a cross-country answer. Ask for EU, German, British and US limits together and see the differences beside their sources.
| Jurisdiction | 8-hour limit | Short-term value | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| EU | 0.3 ppm (0.37 mg/m³), binding | 0.6 ppm (0.74 mg/m³) | 8-hour: Directive (EU) 2019/983. Short-term: IFA GESTIS in the cited answer. |
| Germany | 0.3 ppm (0.37 mg/m³) AGW | 0.6 ppm (excursion factor 2) | TRGS 900 |
| Great Britain | 2 ppm (2.5 mg/m³) | 2 ppm (2.5 mg/m³) | HSE EH40/2005 |
| US (OSHA) | 0.75 ppm TWA | 2 ppm 15-min STEL | 29 CFR 1910.1048 |
Great Britain's eight-hour limit is more than six times the EU value. OSHA sits between them. A team setting an internal standard sees the gap at once. The EU 0.3 ppm eight-hour limit has applied to all sectors since 11 July 2024.

ESH regulatory compliance: reporting thresholds and facility records
Compare ammonia reporting triggers
The EU E-PRTR air-release threshold for ammonia is 10,000 kg/year of actual release. It carries into the Industrial Emissions Portal Regulation (EU) 2024/1244.
Canada's NPRI uses 10 tonnes manufactured, processed or otherwise used at 1% or more, for facilities with 20,000 employee hours. US TRI uses 25,000 lb manufactured or processed, or 10,000 lb otherwise used.
Two regimes count what you handle; one counts what you release. A small emitter can sit outside E-PRTR and still be in NPRI or TRI. See the cited ammonia reporting thresholds.
Find the right facility record
Two unrelated companies report facilities called SARNIA under NPRI IDs 6547 and 7053. The ID tells you which release record you are reading. Open the facility lookup answer or read the NPRI data guide.
Ask about workplace safety law in your language
Ask about D.Lgs. 81/2008 in Italian and read the answer in Italian. It covers employer duties under articles 18, 26 and 28 and worker duties under article 20. The worked answer uses the consolidated Normattiva text current to L. 11 marzo 2026, n. 34. Read the D.Lgs. 81/08 guide.
Coverage built for EHS teams
Search permit registers, pollutant release inventories, occupational exposure limit tables and enforcement records from environment and labour regulators. Sources include HSE, EU-OSHA, US EPA, OSHA, INAIL, UBA, ECCC and RIVM. Browse ESH coverage by jurisdiction.
Every claim links to its stored source record. When an auditor asks where a number comes from, open the citation. Questions and uploads are never used for training. Data is processed and stored in the EU by default. See security details.
